Why do you think your goal is important? 
It is sad to think of a child knowing only suffering, and nothing of joy or pleasure before dying. 
‘Poor art can’t be saved by having a political message.’
Where did you find the inspiration for your design?
The cucumber sandwich image comes from a series of paintings using notions of Englishness that play with modernity and tradition.
How important is politics in art?
If it’s good art, politics won’t harm it, but poor art can’t be saved by having a political message.

What message have you for any aspiring young artists or photographers about being 'political' and addressing social/economic issues?
An ambivalent or crypto approach helps to extend the interest value of a piece of work. A didactic approach can fail to engage a viewer.
