by Pressureworks, published 25 July, 2005
With our mobile phone cameras, these volunteers will show you what's happening in Gaza and the West Bank.
ICAHD Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions
Angela Godfrey-Goldstein is an Israeli of South-African descent. She is the Action Advocacy Officer with ICAHD and knows a great deal about life in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
Palestinian Medical Relief Society
PMRS, one of Christian Aid’s longest-standing partners, runs mobile clinics throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip – providing medical care for people who desperately need it. Medics from PMRS will send photos back of the events they witness.
Culture and Free Thought Association
CFTA was set up in 1992 to improve the lives of young people in Khan Yunis, one of the poorest refugee camps in the Gaza Strip. Today it runs community activities for children. There is 80% unemployment in the Khan Yunis camp, where many children suffer acute psychological effects of the Israeli military occupation. CFTA helps children with anger management and teaches them traditional dances and music, football, singing, and art.
