Climate Changed campaign
by Pressureworks, published 21 February, 2008
Climate change is already happening - and it is hitting the poor hardest. But you can help do something about it.
UK CO2 emissions comprise 2% of the global total. But the activity of UK companies worldwide raises that share to a huge 12-15%.

We want the government to make it law for UK companies to give a full account of their CO2 emissions in their annual report. We also want companies to do their bit. We want companies to publish a full account of their global carbon footprint in their annual reports, and to commit to at least a 5% cut per year in their carbon
emissions.

Company pressure pays off
Your actions make a real difference! Barclays has received more than 13,500 postcards and emails in the biggest campaign ever directed towards the company. More than 9,500 postcards and emails have been sent to International Power and Morrisons also received thousands.
Thank you to everyone who sent an email or postcard to Barclays, International Power and Morrisons. We will provide more of an update soon.

But it's not just companies. We're also asking the UK government to take action.

Email Gordon Brown
Ask prime minister Gordon Brown to make it law for UK companies to publish a full account of their CO2 emissions in their annual report.

We all need to cut our carbon emissions. Take action now. You can make a real difference.
