Campaigners tell Morrisons to cut their carbon
On Thursday 15 March Morrisons held a meeting in London to announce their strategic review. They were greeted by campaigners asking them to cut their carbon. Find out what happened and what you can do.

On bright sunny morning in the city campaigners handed out leaflets to Morrisons' shareholders asking the company to reveal its true global carbon footprint.
Climate change is already happening and it is hitting the poor hardest. You can help by sending an email to Morrisons to demand it publishes the true extent of its carbon emissions and then commits to a 5% annual reduction.

Morrisons spoke to our representatives and invited them to a meeting to discuss cutting their carbon footprint. They also announced a range of environmental targets to achieve by 2010 - including cutting the group's carbon footprint by 36%.
Christian Aid welcomes this announcement and their invitation to meet with them.
Christian Aid recently published a report which reveals that almost 200 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions are not being reported by top companies on the London Stock Exchange.
Morrisons has been selected as a campaign target because of their incomplete reporting in leading areas of business.
The company excludes the emissions from its transport fleet and supply chain,' said Andrew Pendelton, Christian Aid's senior climate change policy officer.
'Our research reveals that a huge amount of carbon dioxide is emitted around the world by the top 100 companies on the London Stock Exchange, but is not being reported. We don't know the full extent of the emissions of many of the biggest companies. Morrisons is a good example of this, which is why we're targeting them.'
