Unfair games
by Pressureworks, published 17 July, 2006
How unfair is world trade? Brutally unfair. Show people what’s going on. Stage an 'Unfair games'.
In a world of staggering inequality, global trade policies are even further tipping the scales in favour of the rich and powerful. You can show people what's going on.

All you have to do to stage an ‘Unfair games’ is organise a public game of a well-known sport (Mongolian nose-polo is probably out). Then publicise it, and get as many people involved as possible.
But play the game with rigged rules and unequal teams.
Treat your friends badly. Further the cause of Trade Justice.
You could pitch a team of adults against a team of toddlers (check this with Social Services). Or maybe force one team to play blind-fold, or with their hands tied. Totally unfair. Almost as unfair as today’s trade rules.
What do you do then?
Take a picture of the game in progress. Then send it off to big-wigs in trade policy-land with a letter.
It's a good laugh. And it has some effect, helping to get the Trade Justice message across to people in power – and to your local community, too. What are you waiting for? Order your copy of the Unfair Games Pack now. It includes everything you need to stage your own successful event.
